Details SO 86 SE OMBERSLEY CP HADLEY 4/97 Hadley Mill - GV II Former corn mill. Early C19. Brick on high dressed sandstone plinth. plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attic with dentilled eaves cornice and three blue brick diaper panels at centre of front elevation; two openings on lower floor with cambered heads and three small square open- ings above bin level. Attic light in right gable end. At left gable end is a single storey wing, with dentilled eaves cornice and large round arched openings to all elevations, in which the water wheel is situated. Interior: the mill retains its machinery and equipment; the wheel is of the undershot type and drives three pairs of mill stones, all of French burr; the runner on the westernmost pair has a eye ring of iron on which is written, in raised letters, "J PICKIN, MILLSTONE BUIDLER, 27 COLESHILL STREET, BIRMINGHAM".
