Details GREAT EASTON SP 8492 CROSS BANK (North Side) 13/53 War Memorial Cross GV II War memorial cross. c1920. Stone. Double stepped octagonal plinth and square pedestal chamfered to octagon at top leaving corner as simple spur. From this rises a shaft, square at base, then octagonal, with cross rising from crenellated finial. The cross has foliated ends to arms and shield in centre. The pedestal and base of shaft have inscription and names of fallen in both World Wars. Total height is c5m. Listing NGR: SP8496092943 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 10 August 2017.
