Category C Date Added 09/06/1981 Local Authority Perth And Kinross Planning Authority Perth And Kinross Parish Errol NGR NO 23713 24495 Coordinates 323713, 724495 — Late 18th to early 19th century, regularised (see Notes) 20th century. Gothic arch. Rubble with alternate raised quoins and voussoirs. BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: coped rubble boundaries with pyramidal-coped rubble gatepiers. — Situated at the entrance to the Beech Walk, the arch was built as an artificial ruin, for Robert Drummond between the years of 1796 and 1815. The top was 'finished' in the 20th century. Megginch Castle estate includes Chapel, Icehouse, Kennels Cottage, Kingdom Farmhouse, North Lodges, Stables (with Dovecot), Walled Gardens, Wardheads and West Lodge all listed separately.
