Details NZ 2560 10/81 EAST PARK ROAD (west side) Boer War Memorial II Dated 1905. Unsigned. Stepped, tapered granite plinth. Bayleaf pattern torusat step and draped cartouches below cornice. Inscribed with names of fallen on sides. Scrolled step above, with carved bay wreath, on which stands bronze angel holding aloft a laurel crown. Listing NGR: NZ2543760896 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online, the War Memorials Register and North East War Memorials Project. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 12 September 2018.
