The single span bridge is built in limestone ashlar and has pierced parapets and abutments, matching those of the terrace immediately south and west of Oakwood and Bathwick Tower and to those used on the balcony on the west elevation of the villa. HISTORY It was probably built as part of improvements to the villa and garden in circa 1833-35 by the architect Edward Davis, a pupil of John Soane.
