Details SU 84SW FRENSHAM C.P. FRENSHAM STREET 3/43 Frensham Beale Manor 9/3/60 (formerly listed as Frensham Manor) II House. C14 origins to north, extended in C16 and C17; further extended in early C20 to left end. Sandstone to right with brick dressings, timber framed to remainder, underbuilt in brick and with brick infilling above. Brick extensions to end left. Plain tiled roofs, hipped to left end. T-shaped plan with parallel gable end range to right, the former chapel. Two storeys to right and left, gable attics to right of centre. Two diagonal brick stacks to right and four corbelled diagonal stacks to rear right. Further stacks to rear and left. Mood framed, leaded casement fenes- tration with one attic window to each large gable. One 12-light, mullioned and transomed casement to first floor left of centre over 15-light similar window below. One 6-light window to each floor of gable to right of centre, and one multi-light window on each floor of projecting square bay to end of right hand gable. Stone dressed,angle bay window to right hand side with arched lights. Round arched window to first floor left in projecting C20 brick wing brick cornice. Gabled entrance porch to centre with first floor casement over 4-centre arched door to ground floor. Interior:- Entrance Hall - stone floored and panelled with C20 ashlar fireplace with bolection moulding and strapwork, gadrooned panel on overmantel. Dining room - 4 centre arched chamfered brick fireplace, linenfold panelling over. Library/Study - oldest part of house with roof restored in C20. Stone fireplace rubble walls.
