Details LILLESHALL LILYHURST ROAD 1. 5362 Former canal Bridge immediately south-east of Lilleshall Abbey SJ 71SW 29/422 II GV 2. Circa 1768. The Donnington Wood canal was built when the Earl Gower and Company was formed in 1764. Lord Gower was the Duke of Bridgewater's brother-in-law and later Marquess of Stafford whose son became the Duke of Sutherland in 1833. Brick segmental arched bridge with arched stone string course. The parapet is missing and C19 iron railings have been substituted. Listing NGR: SJ7384714160 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
