Reason for designation: Listed for its special historic interest as one of a number of bridges erected by the Montgomeryshire Canal Company over this short length of canal. History: Canal Bridge No. 2 on the Guilsfield Branch of the Montgomeryshire Canal. 1794-7. Exterior: Walls curved on plan and ending in 18-in piers. Abutment walls have heavy flush stone copings, flat topped, but sloping down to the road. Segmental brick arch of 13-in brickwork over canal. Iron number plate. Location: Located adjacent to the B.4392 on the road to Red House farm, providing access to Burgedin township.
