Details MATERIALS: rough-hewn grey granite. DESCRIPTION: Crostwick and Beeston St Andrew War Memorial is located by the North Walsham Road (B1150) at Crostwick, Norfolk. It comprises a wheel-head cross on a plinth with a single-stepped base beneath. It has a smooth face to the front of the plinth bearing inscriptions in leaded lettering. The inscription reads TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THE/ PARISHES/ OF CROSTWICK AND BEESTON ST ANDREW/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES)/ 1939 – 1945/ (NAMES). This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Register. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 25 July 2017.
