Details Granite pillar, the sides tapering slightly towards the top. The front bears the inscription: ERECTED / IN HONOUR / OF THE MEN / OF THIS VILLAGE / WHO SERVED THEIR / KING AND COUNTY / IN THE / GREAT WAR / 1914 - 1919 / + KILLED + WOUNDED; below this are some of the names of the Fallen. The right and left faces both bear further names. The back face reads: 1939 - 1945 / IN MEMORY OF / (names) / OF THIS PARISH / WHO DIED / IN THE CAUSE OF LIBERTY. The whole rests on a square granite base, set into a larger area of paving. This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Online. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 20 July 2017. This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 20 January 2025 to correct reference in Selected sources.
