Details PODINGTON FARNDISH SP 9263-9363 14/363 Church of St Michael and All Saints 13.7.1964 I - Small late C12 church. Coursed limestone rubble with Northants ironstone dressings. The building consists of a chancel and aisleless nave with the W tower built into its W. bay. Both chancel and nave have shallow-pitched roofs. Windows are mainly C14. C15 window in nave S. wall to E. of doorway and remodelled C15 window in E. end. S. doorway is a good example of late C12 work with three orders of shafts with stiff leaf capitals and three orders of arches in alternating limestone and sandstone blocks. C12 also is the small plain N. doorway now blocked. The interior of the chancel has traces of wall painting.
