Rectangular-plans bay Gothic church with presbytery to west and school to east linked to form T-plan complex; 3-stage octagonal tower with cross-finialed faceted spire on north east corner, and entrance in gabled porch at north west angle. Recessed door under pointed head with splayed reveals and portrait label stops to hood-mould. Snecked, stugged, yellow sandstone with white polished ashlar dressings and quoins. Tower has single cusped lancets on alternate faces; each stage set back; top stage with cusped louvred openings on each face. Geometric traceried windows all hood-moulded with portrait label stops in gable end and buttressed bays of body of church. Apse in south gable. Saw- tooth skews with cross finial and slate roof. School extends 4 bays to east, pair of doors with pointed heads in triangular gabled porch with figure on foliated capital between gables. Presbytery is asymmetrical with Gothic details; 2 storeys over basement, 3 unequal bays, and linked to church by single bay at basement level. Snecked and stugged red sandstone with white ashlar dressings. Steps with cast-iron handrail leading to pointed-headed central door with fanlight; cusped light above and cusped bipartites in left bay at ground, basement and 1st floor levels; similar cusped bipartites in advanced, gabled, right bay, that on ground floor under relieving arch with blind quatrefoil in spandrel. Gableted skewputts and decorative cast-iron finials. Decorative ridge tiles and slate roof.
