Single span, segmental-arched bridge carrying road over Glen Striddle stream. Rubble, recently repointed in cement mortar (?); recent mortar render to coping; vouissors. Weathered. Low parapet, plaque on N parapet inscribed "Wm Johns built this bridge 1777". S Parapet with relief of ram?s head; recessed plaque below with inscription "Sir IC Luss". — The NORTH CLYDE ESTUARY reference is confusing suggesting that Chapel Hill Bridge and the Ramshead Bridge are separate bridges, they are in fact the same bridge. It is said that the ram?s head was set into the bridge to commemorate the introduction of black-faced sheep at the nearby Glenmallochan farm in the mid 18th century. The Edentaggart Bridge is listed separately.
