No.850 Lord Nelson passes the former Midland Railway roundhouse, running light engine from Steamtown to Hellifield, 27 November 1982]] When the Midland Railway reached Carnforth in 1857, it developed a small roundhouse depot and maintenance shed to service its locomotive stock.
