Details ST 76 SE 3/325 13.11.62 WINSLEY WINSLEY VILLAGE Burghope Manor and Burghope (formerly listed as Burghope) II House, C16 and C17 extended in C19 and C20, rubble stone with stone slate roofs to main range, Bridgwater tiles elsewhere. Ashlar stacks. l½ - 2 storeys. Original range, now Berghope Manor, runs north-south with C20 north end addition, 1½ storeys. South end block has slightly raised roof, west side stack and gable end 4- light mullion-and-transom hollow-moulded window to ground floor and 5-light above, one light blank the others with cusped pointed heads, three ogee, the other matching C19 windows on service wing. East side has dormer gable to right with hollow-moulded 3-light window and hoodmould, C20 mullion window under eaves to left. Ground floor French window and ovolo-moulded 3-light mullion window. East front continues with one ridge stack and coped gable with north stack at original north end. Two large dormer gables with three-light windows and one smaller gable to left with 2- light, all ovolo-moulded. Large gables have apex blank panels. Ground floor has, from left, door in coped gabled ashlar porch with Tudor-arched entry, an oak-framed single light, a C19 or C20 three- light window with arched-headed lights and a 3-light mullion window with hoodmould, small-paned windows and centre sash. Windows generally have leaded lights. Two-window C20 range with two dormer gables extends to right. Rear service wing, now Burghope, extends west from south end. Two ridge stacks, two storeys, three-window range of mullion windows with cusped pointed lights and centre gable with 1881 date plaque. To rear, and parallel, attached to north end of original house is stable range, probably C18 with three ground floor doors and circular pitching eye in gablet. Inter
