Details NORTH SUNDERLAND BROWNSMAN NU 23 NW Farne Islands 5/171 Cottage and Beacon on Brownsman II Cottage, stump of lighthouse, and beacon. Beacon probably C18, cottage and lighthouse 1810. Dressed stone with Welsh slate roof. Square beacon to right, c.20 ft. high with 3 offsets. Single-storey, 2-bay cottage with two 12-pane segment-headed windows. Gabled roof with hipped dormer. Attached to left of cottage round stump of lighthouse has 3 small 6-panel, segment-headed fixed windows. Door on right return. Of considerable landscape value.
