Details NY 85 SE LANDS COMMON TO THE SIPTON PARISHES OF ALLENDALE AND WEST ALLEN 16/165 Bridge over Sipton Burn on the Long Drag II Bridge, dated 1878 with initials W.B.B. on slab on external face of west parapet. Squared stone with cut dressings. Lofty bridge spanning a ravine, side walls with marked batter. Round-headed arch slightly recessed from wall face. Flanking pilasters. Band below parapet, arched parapet coping with blocks linked by iron clamps. The bridge is associated with the Long Drag, a well graded mine road used for carrying lead from the Allendale mines over Allendale Common to Whitley Chapel and Hexham.
