Details NY 62 SW BOLTON 5/160 Bridge over river Lyvennet to south of Crossrigg Hall G.V. II Cast-iron bridge dated 1835. Abutments and low parapet walls to either end are rusticated. False 4-centred arch with pierced spandrels; CARLISLE 1835 on round plaque to centre of north side. Transverse wooden beams support earth roadbed clO ft wide. Parapets have segmental copings and spiral curtails. Cast-iron railings to top of parapets and on either side of bridge are constructed of panels, with reeded fleurs-de-lis standards on 2 levels, separated by fluted colonettes with urn finials. Both sides have single narrow panels, with semicircular heads and pierced geometric patterns, to their centres and ends. The wrought-iron gates across the east end of the bridge is C20.
