It is composed of 5 segmental arches which are irregularly spaced. 2 of the arches are over the main river. There is a cutwater between the 2 main spans. The bridge is an important feature in the landscape and an integral part of the Lochdochart Estate. — Gillies notes that the estate was sold at the beginning of the 19th century to Mr Edward Place of Skelton Grange, Yorkshire and that the house and bridge were built by him (see Lochdochart House listing).
