Details NOTTINGHAM SK5738NE MEADOW LANE 646-1/25/427 Bridge over Canal 12/07/72 II Bridge carrying Meadow Lane over the Nottingham Canal. 1792-93. By William Jessop and James Green for the Nottingham Canal Co. Coursed squared stone with ashlar string course and coping. Single elliptical arch with splayed parapet walls and half-round coping. On the north-east side, a fluted cast-iron roller to ease the wear of tow ropes when rounding the nearby bend. (Hadfield C: The Canals of the East Midlands: Newton Abbot: 1966-: 56).
