Details SU 06 SE 7/1 ALL CANNINGS Bridge on Kennet Avon Canal, north of Townend II Accommodation bridge over Kennet and Avon Canal. c1807, John Rennie, Chief Engineer. English bond brickwork. An oval arch of l½ bricks with bullnosed arris, two-course string at base of parapet with flush stone copings, and terminating in slight piers. Abutments splayed on plan. At north end, a GWR lozenge iron weight restriction sign, the loading inserts missing. Canal towpath has stone revetments and a slot for a timber sluice.
