Reason for designation: Included as a largely unaltered and nicely detailed example of a small estate cottage of the mid C19. History: Built c1840-50, possibly as part of the Pennant Estate. Exterior: Painted brick with graded slate roof with brick axial stack. One and a half storeys, a small 2-unit plan cottage. Doorway to right, and 2 windows aligned with wide dormer windows with boldly overhanging eaves. Windows are all iron horizontally sliding sashes with small panes and interlaced glazing. Location: Situated immediately alongside the River Severn and approached via a by-road which leaves the A483 to the E at Fron.
