Details This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 28/02/2019 TQ 7259 11/44 AYLESFORD CP CHURCH LANE (north side) Brassey tomb monument approximately 36 metres north west of Church of St Peter and St Paul (Formerly listed as Brassey tomb monument 40 yards north-west of Aylesford Church,CHURCH LANE (north side)) GV II Tomb monument. Dated 1891. Stone with marble plinth surround and marble pedestal to statuary. Chamfered corners (railings removed at time of re-survey). Figures of Mary with kneeling angel before Cross, inscribed "The Lord watch between me and thee/when we are absent one from another". The tomb is that of Henry Arthur Brassey (1840-1891), of Preston Hall, and Anna Harriet, his wife (1844-1898).
