About 3m tall, it comprises a plain, grey sandstone Latin cross with a three-stepped foot, set on a slightly tapering, square plinth. That stands on a square base, raised on three steps. A stone panel on the front, east-facing, side of the plinth is inscribed TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ THIS CROSS IS ERECTED IN GRATEFUL/ AND EVERLASTING MEMORY OF ALL/ THOSE FROM THIS PARISH WHO GAVE/ THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY/ IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919/ (12 NAMES)/ GRANT THEM, O LORD ETERNAL REST. Below this panel, a small laurel wreath is carved in relief on the base. On the left side of the plinth is a stone panel bearing the inscription ALSO TO THOSE WHO IN/ 1939 – 1945/ SERVED AND DIED TO PRESERVE/ OUR GLORIOUS HERITAGE/ (2 NAMES)/ MAY THEY REST IN PEACE.
