Details BODENHAM CP BODENHAM SO 55 SW 5/15 Bodenham Bridge II Road bridge over the River Lugg. Circa 1816. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. Single elliptical archway with circular flood outlets in spandrels. The archway is slightly recessed from the flanking walls and above it the plain parapet has a corbel table at its base. The parapet is splayed at the ends and terminates in rectangular piers with flat cappings. The bridge is about 50 yards long and six yards wide. (Brian, Dr A: The Houses of the Township of Bodenham Devereux and their inhabitants in the C19 and earlier, unpublished notes).
