Details BARCHESTON SP24SE 2/1 Barcheston Bridge 02/09/52 II Bridge over River Stour. Datestone inscribed 1698. Medieval in origin and later widened. Large blocks of coursed squared ironstone and limestone. Parapet and repairs in blue and red brick. Six pointed arched bays and a further round headed arched bay. Tie bars. Stone coping. The asset was previously listed twice also at List entry 1185530. This entry was removed from the List on 25th July 2016. This entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 25th July 2016.
