Details BURSCOUGH SD41SE MOSS LANE 663-1/3/20 (East side (off)) Baldwin's Lock and Bridge (that part in Burscough CP) GV II Includes: Baldwin's Lock and Bridge (that part in Lathom CP) LEEDS-LIVERPOOL CANAL LATHOM. Canal lock and associated accommodation bridge, on Rufford Branch of Leeds-Liverpool Canal. c.1781; altered. Resident engineer Richard Owen. For the Leeds-Liverpool Canal Company. Large dressed sandstone blocks, with wooden gates at north end, iron gates at south end (dated 1974), small cast-iron mooring bollards on both sides, overflow channel on west side; bridge over north entrance with stone ramps which have parapets of massive punch-dressed blocks, oval number plate "4", and flat wooden deck with side rails. Located on boundary between Burscough CP and Lathom CP. Listing NGR: SD4585313390 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
