MacFarlane, overseer, Patrick Duncan mason 1739-40. Single semi-circular arch, 5'6" wide roadway, no parapets. Much ruined. — This bridge is commonly said to have been built by Wade, but there is no record of him having carried out work between Stirling and Crieff, nor is it likely that he would have made the bridge only 5'6" wide, There is no indication at the haunches that it was ever wider. Major Caulfield improved the road in 1742.
