Details SU7139 903/2/10028 19-OCT-00 ALTON HIGH STREET War Memorial immediately north of Assembly Rooms GV II First World War memorial. Circa 1920. Granite rubble. Built in the form of a drystone cairn of beehive shape with a bronze inscription panel on the front with the names of the dead of the two world wars. This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 6 December 2016.
