Details THE SQUARE 1. 5303 1914-1918 War Memorial SP 7387 1/48 II GV 2. Designed by Messrs. Brown and Fisher of Wellingborough. Earlier C20. Base of Memorial approached down 2 steps. Forms stepped plinth, cross shaped, with metal tablets bearing the names of the dead set in angles between cross arms. Polygonal shaft in form of preaching cross with carved heads and figures surmounted by further cross. Set in centre of south-western angle of The Square. Listing NGR: SP7340887174 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 19 January 2017.
