The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24-mile circuit linking the three highest summits in the Yorkshire Dales — Pen-y-ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (724m). Done in under twelve hours, it is a serious day's walking; done over a weekend, it is one of England's classic long-distance routes.
