Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806–1859) is the engineer of the Great Western Railway, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Royal Albert Bridge at Saltash, the Thames Tunnel and the SS Great Britain. Almost any railway tunnel, viaduct or station between London and Bristol is his work or his template.
